He added that the Tanauan Police Station under the leadership of Police Inspector Jimmy Corilla, has consistently garnered an overall rank 1 based on the consolidated performance evaluation rating from the first to the fourth quarter of 2007, among the police stations in Leyte Norte.

The presentation of the award was done on January 21, 2007 at Kuta Kankabato, San Jose, Tacloban City, Director Palconit said.

Tanauan Mayor Roque Tiu commended Chief of Police Jimmy Corillo and the policemen in Tanauan for their work well done. He expressed his hope that the award will inspire the men in uniform to work harder for the people of Tanauan.

Mayor Tiu said that the Local Government of Tanauan will continue to provide the needed support of the local police so that they will be able to perform their job more effectively. The people of Tanauan deserve nothing but best service from the local government workers, Mayor Tiu added.

For his part, Chief of Police Corilla said that the PNP in Tanauan was able to perform their job well because of the untiring support of Mayor Roque Tiu and the other officials of Tanauan. Without the support of the local government officials, the local police will not be able to perform its functions well, Inspector Corilla said.

Chief Corilla also thanked the Provincial PNP Palconit for the support and confidence in the police force of Tanauan. He said that without the able guidance and inspiration from Director Palconit, the Tanauan Police Force will not be as efficient and effective.
